Our Department is an integral part of the Samara State University, and the rules of applying for entry to the Samara State University are valid for all applicants wishing to major in the English Language and Literature. These Rules are in strict conformity with the Laws on Higher and Post-Graduate Professional Education of the Russian Federation.The University accepts citizens of Russia, citizens of other countries and persons without citizenship RESIDING IN THE TERRITORY OF RUSSIA. The applicants enjoy equal rights regardless of their origin, sex, language, social status, race, nationality, religion and age.To apply a prospective student should present his/her certificate of secondary education, his/her certificate of the EGE exam (Uniform State Exam for school-leavers of the Russian Federation) for the chosen field of study (for our Department the exam results in English, Russian, History of Russia, Literature and Social Studies are currently needed), 6 photos of the regulation size, and his/her passport.The University can also enter into a contract with far abroad students. The Samara State University has already had some experience in teaching Russian to a group of students from the USA in 2001 on a contract basis. Those interested in such contracts should contact our International Department.
